Travel bags up to the permitted airline dimensions – often up to 55 × 40 × 20 cm – are suitable as carry-on luggage. Soft bags have an advantage here as they can be compressed slightly if needed. Check your airline's size and weight requirements before your flight.
What fits into a travel bag for a weekend?
For a weekend (two to three nights), a travel bag with 30–50 liters capacity is sufficient. This is enough for about two to three outfits, toiletries, charging cables, and small items. If you pack compactly, you can easily manage without checked luggage.
