WORLD INNOVATION STRAW+ with digital dimension thanks to NFC chip 

Smart, innovative, sustainable - that's STRATIC luggage. The "STRAW" luggage line consists of 25% straw, a byproduct of wheat and rice. Energy consumption during production is significantly reduced, and the products are more rapidly biodegradable and recyclable. In addition, the bioplastic contains no plasticizers that are harmful to health.

From now on, the German company, founded in 1946 in Rodgau/Hesse, is going one step further. With its new "STRAW +" luggage line, the luggage manufacturer is launching a world innovation: The suitcases (available in size S/carry-on, M and L/long-haul suitcase) are equipped with an NFC chip, so the STRAW suitcase series now also achieves a digital dimension.

With this, STRATIC is launching its new and innovative STRATIC CONNECT concept. In the future, all of the manufacturer's suitcase series will be equipped with an NFC chip. An absolute novelty on the suitcase market. 

Each chip has a unique and unforgeable ID. This also makes it possible to control the suitcases via an app and to receive all the necessary information about one's luggage. In the encrypted app, the customer receives product and company information, there is a packing advisor, the possibility to create packing lists, one can store contact details for the "Lost and Found" check and – last but not least – the Co2 footprint of STRATIC customers is compensated with Climate Coins for sustainable projects.

STRATIC has successfully renewed and modernized itself over the past two years. With Axel Bree joining the traditional company as managing director, new structures were successfully created, thus paving new forward-looking paths. "We are, so to speak, a startup with 75 years of experience," says Bree.

STRATIC delivers sustainable, German engineering for smart mobility. The goal is to design suitcases and travel bags that not only visually correspond to current trends but also offer state-of-the-art equipment in terms of technology and content to revolutionize the market – all in a sustainable way.
