How can we say "back to square one" without implying that everything old is disappearing? Because that's far from the case at STRATIC – and yet everything is starting anew.
We have adopted the fundamental values of the founding family; we are proud of the work of our predecessors and the company's history. STRATIC has always stood, and will always stand, for technology, precision, and quality "Engineered in Germany." Our goal is to further expand these competencies to include sustainability, digital innovations, and modern design.

1946 - It all starts with a vision and a suitcase
Jacob Bonifer founds a family business in Offenbach am Main with a clear focus: luggage that delivers on its promises. Offenbach, then known as a stronghold of the leather goods industry, is the perfect location for a luggage specialist – and the foundation for everything that defines STRATIC today.
1950 - From the city to the factory floor
Growing demand necessitates more space. Production moves to Rodgau, Hesse – a step that gives STRATIC the room to practice artisanal precision on a larger scale. This is where the first zipper suitcases with plywood frames are manufactured, which turn the company into a true luggage specialist.
1976 - A name that endures
The STRATIC brand is born and registered. The name says it all: derived from "stratosphere," it stands for lightness – then as now. What began as a family business now has a face that is to become known beyond Germany's borders.
1980 - The stage is set for STRATIC
STRATIC presents its products at the trade fair – and puts them exactly where they belong: in the spotlight. What originated in workshops and minds now meets the world. The starting signal for a brand that wants to show what it's made of.
1985 - Faster to where it matters most
The market is changing – and STRATIC is reacting. To meet customer demands even faster, the company is switching to the production of stock goods. Less waiting time, more reliability. A logistical step that brings STRATIC closer to its customers
2005 - When Lightness Meets Strength
STRATIC expands its product range with hard-shell polycarbonate trolleys – proving that protection and lightness do not have to be contradictory. A consistent step forward for a brand that has always known: good luggage must do more than just offer space.
2011 - Award-Winning Products
The new super-lightweight trolleys from the Agravic series are not only impressing travelers, but also the jury of the renowned Red Dot Awards. This is the first award for STRATIC – and a clear signal:
The brand is on the right track.
2017 - Back to the roots
What has long been missing is back: For the first time in 20 years, STRATIC is once again producing a soft luggage series in Germany. "Original Stratic" - the name says it all. A commitment to origin, to craftsmanship and to what the brand has stood for since 1946: quality you can feel.

2019 - New chapter, same values.
Axel Bree, an experienced bag entrepreneur and passionate traveler, joins STRATIC, bringing a breath of fresh air. The founding family's core values – technology, precision, quality – remain. These are complemented by sustainable design and digital innovation. The goal: to develop STRATIC into a modern quality brand under the guiding principle of "Smarter travel every day."
2020 - From nature, for your journey.
Sustainability is getting a new face – and a new material – at STRATIC. Our STRAW products are made with a bioplastic content of 25% straw: lighter on the environment, faster to degrade, better to recycle. And the best part? Production consumes significantly less energy than with conventional plastic. A clear commitment:

2021 - 75 Years
What began in Offenbach in 1946 with a vision is celebrating its birthday today. 75 years of STRATIC – 75 years of precision, quality, and passion for the perfect luggage. A story that shows: Those who move with the times never stand still.
2022 - Stratic Connect
With the development of STRATIC Connect, the brand takes a consistent step into the future: An integrated NFC chip transforms the suitcase into a digital travel companion – for packing advice, digital packing lists, and CO₂ compensation via app. No batteries, no complicated technology. Simply hold your smartphone to your luggage – and off you go. A world first in the travel market.
2026 - The tasks are growing
